CLIPPER BLADES
SHARPENING
We use the hollow ground method
of sharpening clipper blades. Our equipment consists of a large 18 inch wheel
which provides the capability of handling a wide variety of blades. We are
able to handle normal clipper blades as well as sheep shearing and other animal
grooming blades.
Each blade is individual
inspected, disassembled, cleaned, sharpened, sterilized and then re-assembled.
After re-assembly and lubrication the blade is adjusted for the proper tension and
cutter blade positioning prior to being tested for sharpness and cutting
ability.
In the event a blade is worn
beyond the point that it would not perform adequately even if sharpened, we will
bag this blade and enclose a note indicating that the blade is unserviceable.
Any blade found in this condition will be returned at no cost.
Once the blades have passed the
cutting tests they are again cleaned and then individually wrapped and
returned to the customer either by direct delivery or via UPS. All shipments are
insured for customer protection.
If any damage is noted during
inspection, such as broken teeth or the blades are deemed to be worn past the
point of effective sharpening capability, the customer is contacted,
informed of the repair cost. In most cases the individual parts or a blade
can be replaced to make the blade once again serviceable at a cost less than
replacing the entire blade. If the customer desires not to repair the
blade, the worn blade is returned to the customer at no costs for handling.
